The Pittsburgh Technology Council has recognized Pyramid Consulting Group as one of its Top 50 for 1999, 2000 & 2005. To achieve this honor, a company has to have three consecutive years of growth in addition to the following requirements.

To identify the regions hottest technology firms, survey forms were mailed to several thousand companies in the Pittsburgh Technology Council's database, which met specific criteria. That list was augmented by hundreds more from another database. Eligible companies must develop, manufacture, or utilize advanced technology or technology based products or else be value added resellers of such technology products. The practical application, production, or service using those products must account for at least half of a company's revenues.

Pyramid has also been recognized as one of the Top 100 fastest growing businesses every year, since 2001, by The Pittsburgh Business Times.

Pyramid has continued to grow and prosper despite a stagnant I.T. job market.
